Honor Magic V5: A new chapter for foldable phones

In the smartphone market, Honor has launched its latest foldable phone, the Honor Magic V5. This phone not only inherits the Honor brand's consistent innovative spirit, but also makes many improvements and upgrades in design, performance and user experience, aiming to bring users an unprecedented experience.

Design and appearance

Honor Magic V5 offers four attractive color options: Dawn Gold, Warm White, Silk Road Dunhuang, and Velvet Black, allowing users to choose the style that suits them best according to their personal preferences. The size of the phone is 156.8 mm long, 74.3 mm wide when folded, and 145.9 mm wide when unfolded. In terms of thickness, the warm white version is 8.8 mm when folded and thins to 4.1 mm when unfolded; while the other color versions are slightly thicker, 9.0 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when unfolded. In terms of weight, the warm white version weighs about 217 grams (including battery), and the other color versions weigh about 222 grams.

Screen experience

The Honor Magic V5 is equipped with a 7.95-inch foldable flexible OLED inner screen with a resolution of 2352x2172 pixels, and a 6.43-inch OLED outer screen with a resolution of 2376x1060 pixels. Both screens support HDR peak brightness up to 5000nits, and the global peak brightness is 1800nits for the outer screen and 1300nits for the inner screen. It is particularly worth mentioning that it also uses 4320Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming technology, which can effectively protect the user's vision health.

Performance

In terms of core configuration, the Honor Magic V5 is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform, with an eight-core CPU, a main frequency of up to 2×Prime 4.32GHz+6×Performance 3.53GHz, and is equipped with Adreno™830 GPU, ensuring strong processing power and graphics rendering capabilities. In addition, three storage combinations are available: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB to meet the needs of different users.

Camera system

In terms of photography, Honor Magic V5 also performs well, equipped with a three-camera lens group, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, supporting laser focus and multiple shooting modes. The front camera is a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera on the inner and outer screens to meet the needs of users for selfies and video calls.

Battery and fast charging

In order to ensure long-term worry-free use, Honor Magic V5 has a built-in large-capacity battery, of which the 16GB+1TB version is equipped with a large 6100mAh (typical value) battery, and supports 66W wired super fast charging and 50W wireless super fast charging, making charging more convenient and efficient.
