The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL battery in JerryRigEverything’s teardown is marked GD1J6. A close-up of the original label gives repair shops and battery buyers a practical reference for checking the part, its capacity and its voltage before ordering a replacement.
Figure 1. Original GD1J6 battery front label at 5:14 in the real teardown video. The model and capacity lines are unobstructed. Click the image to view the original 3840×2160 frame.| Specification | Label or manufacturer value |
|---|---|
| Battery model | GD1J6 |
| Type | Rechargeable lithium-ion battery |
| Typical capacity | 5200mAh |
| Rated capacity on label | 5079mAh |
| Nominal voltage | 3.89V |
| Typical energy | 20.23Wh |
| Rated energy | 19.76Wh |
The two capacity figures describe different specifications. The teardown label prints 5200mAh as typical and 5079mAh as rated; Google’s specification page lists the same 5200mAh typical figure and calls 5079mAh the minimum capacity. Keep those terms clear in a battery quotation or product listing.
iFixit’s genuine Google replacement-part listing independently identifies model GD1J6, 5079mAh, 3.89V and 19.76Wh. Its service part number is G949-01616-00. This corroborates the label; it does not establish the specification or availability of any battery offered by another supplier.
Figure 2. Installed battery and release-tab arrangement at 4:45. This is the exposed battery area rather than a complete view of every phone component. Click the image to view the original 3840×2160 frame. The battery occupies the central part of the handset. The visible release materials and the removed-battery view help show how the part sits in the frame. For a replacement check, compare the original battery’s outline, connection arrangement and mounting materials against the proposed part.
Figure 3. Battery removed from its bay at 5:05. The frame and battery are visible together; this is not a full all-parts layout. Click the image to view the original 3840×2160 frame. The battery stores electrical energy for the display, processor, cameras and radio systems. A battery with reduced charge storage can shorten the time between charges, but capacity alone does not determine endurance. The phone’s workload, signal strength, brightness, software and battery condition also matter.
Tom’s Guide’s Pixel 10 Pro XL review reports 14 hours and 20 minutes in its continuous web-browsing battery test over a cellular connection, with adaptive display mode enabled. That result belongs to the tested handset and workload. It is neither a mixed-use day estimate nor a guaranteed runtime for a replacement battery.
For charging context, Google specifies up to 70% in about 30 minutes with a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. It also lists Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W. These are handset charging capabilities; an individual battery listing should not imply that every charger or replacement part will achieve them.
For a Pixel 10 Pro XL replacement battery inquiry, start with the GD1J6 label and an exact handset identification. Pixel 10 Pro XL and the smaller Pixel 10 Pro are separate devices; a similar name is not evidence that their batteries interchange. Ask for the offered part’s dimensions, connector details, rated capacity and nominal voltage before committing to a quantity order.
