The Xiaomi 17 Max battery shown in WekiHome’s teardown carries the model code BM8C. Its printed label identifies an 8000mAh typical capacity and a 7830mAh rated capacity. For repair shops, distributors and wholesale battery buyers, this label is a useful starting point: it helps identify the original part and the electrical specifications to check before ordering.

|---|---|
| Battery model | BM8C |
| Battery type | Rechargeable Li-ion polymer battery |
| Typical capacity | 8000mAh |
| Rated capacity | 7830mAh |
| Nominal voltage | 3.81V DC |
| Charging voltage limit | 4.55V DC |
| Nominal energy | 29.84Wh |
| Typical energy | 30.48Wh |
Typical and rated capacity are separate label entries. A listing that mentions 8000mAh should identify it as the typical figure, rather than present it as the rated capacity. The 4.55V charging limit describes the battery specification; it is not the voltage of the phone’s USB power adapter.
The close-up below shows two flexible connection tails at the top of the battery. Their routing and connector positions are useful visual checks when comparing a proposed replacement with the original. Two visible tails alone do not establish a two-cell series configuration, so this article does not reinterpret or double the printed capacity.

The wireless charging assembly is still in place over the central battery area; the cameras and lower assembly provide context for its position. The battery stores energy for the display, processor, radios, cameras and other phone systems. Its capacity influences how much use is possible between charges, while actual endurance also depends on the workload and the handset’s power management. Replacing an aged battery may address reduced charge storage, but it does not by itself diagnose software-related drain or a fault elsewhere in the phone.
AnTuTu’s May 22, 2026 review reports two endurance tests. The mixed-use test started at full charge, with screen brightness set to 300 nits and balanced mode enabled. It ran six consecutive one-hour tasks: local 4K video playback, video calling, Douyin, Weibo, Taobao and Honor of Kings. The phone finished those six hours with 53% battery remaining.
A separate test started at full charge, used 300-nit brightness and performance mode, and ran one hour each of Honor of Kings, Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact. After three hours of gaming, 60% remained. These are results for those workloads, not full-discharge runtime measurements. They should not be extrapolated into a guaranteed number of hours for daily use or for a replacement battery.
The same review reports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support for the handset. Those are phone-system charging specifications, not a promise that an individual replacement battery or any charger will deliver those speeds. Display brightness, mobile signal, temperature, software settings and battery age can all change the time between charges.
Before purchasing, compare the original label and part with the offered battery. Check the BM8C code, rated and typical capacity, voltage, dimensions, connector arrangement and handset variant. A similar-looking battery or a similar phone name is insufficient evidence of compatibility. Buyers ordering in quantity should also request current specifications, sample information and the documentation applicable to their order.
