Xiaomi 17T BM6U Battery: 6500mAh Specs, Teardown and Battery Life

The Xiaomi 17T battery shown in Trofim Viorel’s real disassembly video carries the model number BM6U. Its label provides a useful starting point for repair shops and distributors comparing a replacement battery: 6500mAh typical capacity, 6360mAh rated capacity and a nominal voltage of 3.81V.

The 6500mAh and 6360mAh figures are not interchangeable. One is the typical capacity; the other is the rated capacity printed on this particular pack. Xiaomi’s global specifications confirm the handset’s 6500mAh typical capacity. A quotation should identify both the capacity convention and the exact battery model.

The label values describe the complete battery assembly. They should not be doubled or divided on the basis of seams or sections visible in a photograph. Likewise, 4.55V is a battery charging-limit specification, not the voltage that a buyer should apply directly to the pack.

Where the battery sits inside the Xiaomi 17T

The installed view shows the battery occupying most of the central handset area, with release materials around its edges and the camera assembly at one end. It helps buyers compare the assembly’s overall shape and position. It does not provide dimensions precise enough for a compatibility decision.

For a BM6U replacement battery inquiry, request a clear connector photograph and measured dimensions of the offered part, then compare them with the original assembly. Similar-looking flex cables or a shared capacity figure alone do not establish compatibility with another Xiaomi model.

Xiaomi 17T battery life: a measured reference

In Notebookcheck’s Xiaomi 17T review, the phone achieved 21 hours and 3 minutes in Wi-Fi web browsing using Chrome, with the display adjusted to 150cd/m². This is a result for that tested handset and workload, not a promise of screen-on time for every user or of endurance from a replacement pack.

The battery stores energy for the display, processor, cameras and communications hardware. Brightness, network conditions, gaming and camera use change the rate at which that energy is consumed. Wear also reduces available charge, so a replacement inquiry benefits from a description of the original battery’s condition and the customer’s usage.

For charging context, Xiaomi lists 67W HyperCharge for this handset and recommends its 67W adapter or higher; the adapter is sold separately on the global page. These are phone-system capabilities. They do not establish that an unverified replacement battery or any third-party charger will deliver the same result.

Information to include in a BM6U battery inquiry

Repair businesses and wholesalers can make a request easier to assess by sending the exact Xiaomi 17T handset variant, a photo of the original BM6U label, connector photos, required quantity and destination market. Ask the supplier to confirm the offered battery’s nominal voltage, rated capacity, dimensions and assembly details before ordering samples or a production quantity.
